Keyless Entry System Benefits
Keyless entry offers added convenience, time savings and security to our lives. It has advantages and a few disadvantages but overall, keyless entry is becoming mainstream, not only in our cars, but also in homes and business locations all around the country. There’s something to be said for being able to dispense with keys and those bulky, heavy key rings and chains. Having keyless entry systems allow for a more streamlined locking function with just a few taps of a button.
Added Security
Keys by themselves offer little in the way of extra security. On the other hand, keyless entry systems allow the user to unlock, lock, and in some cases, start their automotive vehicles with the simple push of a button. While keys can be duplicated, and used to steal or vandalize a car, keyless entry operates from signals that are sent to the car and are not easily duplicated.
Added Convenience
If your hands are full and you are approaching your car, the last thing you want to do is put everything down so that you can hunt around in your pockets, find your keys, unlock your trunk and then load everything into it. It’s much easier and more convenient to simply press the button on your keyless entry remote and have the auto trunk instantly unlocked and open for you to load your items into it.
Helps stop thieves
If a would-be car thief tries to enter your key code and gets it wrong, he only has a couple more tries before he is automatically locked out and unable to try again for a set time. On many systems, the police are even called and/or an alarm goes off! It’s much like entering the wrong password when trying to log into your bank account. After too many tries you are locked out for a time and might even have to go into the bank in person in order to get it unlocked.
